The ATX Type S 22 is a respected sport boat for waterskiing, wakeboarding and wakesurf. Strong performance, reliable construction, and a track record of decades in the watersports industry — this is the go-to boat for our club members and returning athletes who prefer a no-nonsense, performance-first approach. The ATX represents the classic American watersport boat philosophy: build something that just works, every time, season after season.

The ATX ballast system
The ATX Type S 22 runs a traditional, reliable ballast setup: the captain fills the bow, middle, and dual stern tanks to match the desired wave character. With extra ballast bags bigger and steeper waves can be generated — particularly recommended for our advanced-level club members who have outgrown the standard configuration. The classic approach has the advantage that anyone who has ridden a ballasted wakesurf boat at any other club will instantly feel at home on the ATX. The wake itself is well-known to wakeboard veterans: clean, predictable, and trick-friendly.
Compared to the more advanced Super Air Nautique G23, the ATX trades the cockpit-controlled NSS™ wave system for a simpler, more affordable per-hour rate. For our regular Surf Club members and weekend wakeboard enthusiasts, this trade-off is exactly right. Read the full ballast system explainer →

Location
The ATX’s home port: Budapest Yacht Club, 1039 Budapest, Kossuth Lajos üdülőpart 115. Located on Római-part, the historic Roman riverbank of Buda — easily accessible by car (parking on site), HÉV (Római-fürdő stop, 10-min walk) or bicycle. The Római-part has restaurants, cafés and beach bars within walking distance, making it perfect for a full day at the marina.
