What the G23 offers — the NSS™ ballast system
The G23 isn’t just carrying more ballast water than traditional boats — the Nautique Surf System (NSS™) lets the captain control the distribution of the ballast tanks from the helm with a single switch. This means an 8-year-old (small, beginner-friendly wave) and a pro rider (steep competition swell) can comfortably ride the same boat — the ballast weight and wave character can change in seconds.
The 1380+ kg factory Hydrogate ballast is well above the market average — many competition-grade boats only have 700-900 kg. The G23 can also be fitted with extra ballast bags for steeper, pro-level waves — useful for trick training or competition prep. Read more on the ballast system page.
