A family day on the Danube — wakesurf for kids and parents
If you want to do something genuinely active and unique with the family — instead of yet another zoo or shopping mall day — the Danube wakesurf is the answer. From age 8 the kids can ride wakesurf, while younger ones can SUP or just enjoy the boat ride, and parents can take turns on the wave too. Everyone goes home with a real experience and great photos.

What’s included
- Private boat for the family (Super Air Nautique G23 or ATX Type S 22)
- Wakesurf instructor who works patiently with kids
- Three-quarter-size kids’ boards in our equipment kit (regular boards are too big for 8-10 year olds)
- SUP (stand-up paddle) option for kids too young for wakesurf
- Life jackets in every size from child-XS
- Picnic option at the marina (pre-order with our partner caterer)
- Family photo session available (extra fee)
Typical family day schedule (3-hour program)
- 10:00 — Arrival at the marina, brief safety intro, kids get their life jackets
- 10:30 — Out on the water, calm cruise to warm up everyone
- 11:00 — Wakesurf rotation: each family member tries the wave, instructor adjusts ballast for each rider’s level
- 12:30 — SUP break, the kids paddle around in calm water while the boat anchors
- 13:00 — Return to marina, family BBQ or picnic
What ages work?
- Wakesurf — from age 8 (with parental consent, basic swimming ability required)
- SUP and boat ride — any age
- Wakeboard — from age 12
Tips for first-time families
- Bring waterproof phone pouches for the kids — they’ll want to film everything
- Pack snacks and water; the marina has a kiosk but it’s small
- Sunscreen is essential, the Danube reflects sunlight intensely
- Bring spare clothes for kids — they get water in the boat too
- If anyone gets seasick easily, the G23 is more stable than the ATX
