A Szentendre boat trip is one of the most beautiful half-day getaways from Budapest. Setting off from Római-part, it is barely half an hour by boat: after the noise of the city comes the quiet of the Danube, and then the Mediterranean-feel waterfront of Szentendre. A boat trip to Szentendre shows you the artists’ town from the water – comfortably, on a private boat, instead of the car and suburban-train crowds.
With us this program is fully private: the boat is reserved only for your group, and the captain times the trip so there is room to swim and relax along the way. Szentendre is a perfect destination for a relaxed afternoon, a date or a day out with friends.

Why go to Szentendre by boat?
- Fast and free: a short, scenic ride on the water from Római-part.
- A different angle: the Szentendre waterfront and the Danube Bend are at their best from the water.
- Swimming on the way: we stop on a clean stretch of the Danube for a refreshing swim.
- Private program: no crowds, no schedule – just you and the river.
What to do in Szentendre
Szentendre is a town of galleries, craft workshops and charming cafés. After a boat trip, stroll through the cobblestone old town, taste the local ice cream or wine, and enjoy the riverside panorama from its finest vantage point. On request, the captain waits while you explore the town, then you cruise back to Budapest.

Onward into the Danube Bend
If Szentendre is only the first stop, the trip extends easily: cruise on towards Visegrád and Esztergom on a full Danube Bend tour, where the Citadel and the Basilica also unfold from the water.

Our boats and partner boats
For the Szentendre trip we recommend our own ATX Type S 22 for a sporty, young crowd (Római-part is its base), and our partner boats – the cabin-style 24- and 29-foot motorboats – for those who prefer comfortable, covered cruising.
Booking and prices
The price depends on the boat and the duration. Find detailed prices and online booking on the Prices & Booking page. See also the Danube Boat Experience overview.
